Incidental 36

This music video was created for Incidental 36, the latest experimental album by artist Ray Incident. Set in a speculative future where recycled waste has become part of our everyday diet, the video imagines a dystopian dinner party in the year 2050—where synthetic cuisine meets visual poetry.

As art director & production designer for the video, my goal was to craft a hauntingly beautiful culinary world using hand-built food props made almost entirely in-house by our 4 person production team. We sculpted dishes from a mix of real organic textures and artificial debris, merging edible aesthetics with unsettling waste to reflect the track’s environmental undertones.

The result is a surreal visual narrative—part sci-fi set design, part grotesque elegance—brought to life through macro videography and a choreographed interplay of machines and human hands. Every frame is curated to feel both familiar and disturbingly futuristic, much like the sonic landscape of Incidental 36 itself.
